Customising drawing sections and firm taxonomy
Beech ships with a default architecture set of drawing sections (Floor Plans, Elevations, and so on). Change them to match how your studio issues sheets — before you have fifty drawings on the wrong labels.
Where to click
More → Firm settings. Contributors cannot edit these; they will be pointed at an Admin or Manager.
- Drawing Sections — groups on the project Work tab and the short codes in drawing references. Create, rename, drag to reorder, delete only if empty.
- Project Status Labels — the workflow statuses on project cards (Intake through Completed, plus your custom labels).
- Drawing Templates — reusable drawing lists to clone onto new projects.
- Vendor Types — taxonomy for the vendor directory.
Section order on the Work tab follows this list. Put the set you issue first at the top so the daily view matches the print set.
