Finding work with search and shortcuts
Beech is faster when you stop browsing and start jumping. Drawing numbers, project names, and vendor names are all searchable. A handful of keys cover the rest of the chrome.
Global search
Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) from anywhere. Type a reference (RV01-FLP-005), a project, a task title, or a vendor. Results respect your role. Enter opens the item.
Other keys worth learning
- Cmd/Ctrl + J — personal assistant: scratchpad and reminders. Not tied to a project.
- Esc — close search, menus, and the help panel.
- Question mark in the top bar — Help Centre, Guides, Docs, and the shortcut list.
The bell
Notifications cover deadlines, reviews, vendor follow-ups, On Hold, blocked/unblocked, and project handoff. Click through to the item, or open the full inbox at /notifications. Digest email defaults to daily; change it in My profile → Notification preferences.
Workspace filters live in the URL. Bookmark “my overdue drawings” or share a filtered board with a colleague instead of describing it in chat.
