Messages and project Chat

Beech chat keeps coordination inside the firm and next to the work — not in a parallel WhatsApp group that nobody can search later.

Two places

• Messages (inbox icon / /messages) — DMs, firm-wide groups, and all project rooms.
• Project conversations — each project has a General room plus optional project groups, both opened from Messages.

Link work and Vault

Attach from Vault, link a drawing or task, or use Discuss in chat from a work panel. File uploads stay private to the conversation until you Save to Vault.

Threads, pins, promote

Reply opens a thread drawer. Pin decisions so they stay visible. Promote a message into a task or meeting log when the chat becomes real work — Beech keeps a link chip on the message.

Prerequisites

• Confirm you can access the project and the page referenced in this workflow.
• Collect any drawing references, due dates, and ownership details before you start.

Expected outcome

By the end of this workflow, your team has one visible, repeatable process and cleaner handovers.
