Canvases that behave like a studio wall — save is manual, PNG export is on the card — plus inspiration links. Project files live in Vault.

Intent: Explain studio canvases and inspiration in a way that a new team member can follow without prior Beech context.

Who this helps: Architecture studio admins, managers, and contributors who need a repeatable operational workflow.

Studio is the creative reference space: canvases, jots, and links. It is not the task list and not the firm file archive — use the Vault tab for PDFs, CAD, and folders.

Canvases

Named walls (Concept Direction, Material Study, Site Analysis). Open full-screen. Toolbar: Select, Image, Text, Color swatch, Sketch. Swatches show hex plus a label.

Canvases do not auto-save. Use Save; Unsaved changes appears after edits. Download a PNG from the canvas card. Inspiration Links are a simpler list of URLs with optional tags.

Contributors can view Studio but cannot add, edit, or delete. Ask a manager if you need to change a canvas. For project file uploads, use Vault.

Prerequisites

Confirm you can access the project and the page referenced in this workflow.
Collect any drawing references, due dates, and ownership details before you start.

Expected outcome

By the end of this workflow, your team has one visible, repeatable process and cleaner handovers.

Common mistakes and prevention

Mistake 1: Skipping context fields (owner, due date, status notes), which makes follow-up harder.
Mistake 2: Treating chat updates as source of truth instead of recording the update in Beech.
