The six Workspace columns, the in-sprint badge, and filters you can bookmark and share.
Intent: Explain working the kanban board in a way that a new team member can follow without prior Beech context.
Who this helps: Architecture studio admins, managers, and contributors who need a repeatable operational workflow.
Workspace is one board for drawing tasks, general tasks, open vendor requests, and pending reviews across projects. There is no separate list view — filter the board instead.
The columns
- To-Do — not started. Unscheduled work has no badge; sprint work shows green In-sprint.
- In-Progress — actively being worked.
- Blocked — cannot proceed; often set by dependencies.
- On-Hold — paused on purpose; needs a reason.
- In-Review — moving here opens Send for review so you can pick reviewers.
- Done — complete. Drawing tasks usually need an approved review first.
Filters
Sprint and assignee sit on the Workspace bar. Project, type, status, and deadline stay under Filters. Filters stay in the URL so you can bookmark a board and send the same view to someone else.
Prerequisites
- Confirm you can access the project and the page referenced in this workflow.
- Collect any drawing references, due dates, and ownership details before you start.
Expected outcome
By the end of this workflow, your team has one visible, repeatable process and cleaner handovers.
Common mistakes and prevention
Mistake 1: Skipping context fields (owner, due date, status notes), which makes follow-up harder.
Mistake 2: Treating chat updates as source of truth instead of recording the update in Beech.
Troubleshooting checklist
- 1Troubleshooting step 1
If a control is missing, verify your role has permission for the action.
- 2Troubleshooting step 2
If results look wrong, check filters and refresh to confirm latest synced data.
