Administration

Finance & profitability

Last updated: 11 Sep 2026

Beech Finance tracks project costing (CTC-based), billing stages, burn rate, GST invoices, and a firm ledger. Cost rates and absolute P&L figures are Admin-only; Managers see a normalised burn-rate signal on their projects.

Setup

  1. Settings → Finance: define employee grades, pay structures, firm expenses, fiscal year start, GSTIN, and invoice prefix.
  2. On each project Financials tab: set billing type (sqft / % of budget / lump sum) and revenue amounts per stage (from your project status labels).

How cost is calculated

Daily cost uses the employee's effective-dated CTC ÷ working days that month, times a firm loaded-cost multiplier. When someone logs hours on multiple projects in one day, that day's cost is split proportionally by logged hours.

Invoices & ledger

Generate a GST invoice from a billing stage on the project Financials tab. Marking an invoice Paid posts an income ledger entry. Firm expenses post as expense entries. Download a P&L from Finance → Ledger.
